Since 1979, Irene Kijak has been capturing the images of the world through her eyes. From movie and production photography, to CD covers, architectural , publicity and event photography, to exclusive gallery showings the results speak for themselves. Irene has focused on capturing the moment in it's most real form. This is evident in her work with actors, musicians and papparazzi/event photography with clients including Chicago Magazine, Edelman Public Relations, Margie Korshak Public Relations, Spago, Gibson's Wyndham Hotels and the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. Irene was commissioned by Vaut Records to shoot two CD projects and her headshots have also enabled many actors to pursue their careers with confidence. After earning her Associates Degree in Photography from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1983, Irene moved to Chicago the next year pursue her career in a city with no limits. For
the past 17 years she has successfully established herself, concentrating
on various aspects of life and business. Using her technical knowledge
of photography, Irene worked for Photochrome, processing film and
print making, and also spent time with Colour West, selling lab services
to agencies, real estate and PR firms with clients including Airphone,
McDonalds, and Bozell Public Relations. While working for DTA Carlson,
a Chicago based architectural firm as a bookkeeper, Irene was able
to work with a number of clients on in and out of town jobs, shooting
landscapes Her artistic collections encompass three very different bodies of work including: color work in Taiwan, black and white Gothic forms in Paris, and an exquisite collection of farm photography, a subject she has grown up with. Currently, Irene lives in Chicago and continues to push the limits of creativity, professionalism and quality photography. |
